Skate The Lake FAQ

How Much Do Tickets Cost?  Tickets to Skate the Lake are $20.00 each in advance or $25.00 each the day of the event. Ticket price includes skating, fireworks shows, firepits, and music.  Children aged 5 and under are free.
How Do I Purchase Tickets?  Tickets can be bought online HERE, at several local retailers or at the Lake House the day of the event.
Which Local Retailers Are Selling Tickets?  Boone Mountain Sports, Buchanan Recreation Center, Cactus Jacks, Cornerstone Auto Glass, DaKind Soups, Evergreen Lake House, Hearthfire Books, Replays, The Wild Game, Twigs and Wulf Recreation Center.
Are Skates Included in Ticket Price?  Skate rental is NOT included in the ticket price.  There is a limited supply of skates available for rental at an additional cost.  We encourage skaters to bring their own skates if possible.
Do I Need Any Gear Other Than Skates?  Winter sports helmets, while not required, are strongly encouraged.
Where Can I Park?  Parking is available at The Wild Game, US Bank and Christ the King Church with free shuttle service from each location to the Lake House.  There will be no parking or drop off at the Lake House.
What Time Does the Fun Begin?  The Lake House doors open at 6:00pm.
What Time Are the Fireworks?  There are 2 fireworks shows.  The first goes off at 8pm, and the second one at Midnight.
When Does the Event End?  The fun comes to an end following the conclusion of the midnight fireworks show.
Will There Be Food and/or Beverages?  Food and hot or cold beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks and local vendors located in the Lake House parking lot.  The Lake House snack bar will also be open.
How Can I Sponsor Skate the Lake?  DRIVE SMART welcomes all levels of sponsorship of this unique event.  Not only will your organization be recognized at the event, you will have the peace of mind knowing that you’ve made a difference and are saving lives!  Please contact director@drive-smart.org for more information.
How Can I Volunteer for Skate the Lake?  Our volunteers are such an intricate part of this event and we couldn’t do it without them!  It’s a great way to be a part of this unique event benefiting our community.  If you would like to volunteer, contact Marie Lynch at 303-250-3133 or volunteer@drive-smart.org.
What Happens if I Lose My Ticket?  Keep your tickets in a safe place as they will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
What Happens if the Event is Cancelled?  DRIVE SMART will do everything within our power to hold the event.  With the exception of unsafe conditions, Skate the Lake will go on as planned.
Are My Tickets Refundable?  Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.  The price of your ticket will revert to a charitable contribution to DRIVE SMART’s life saving programs.
What Is the Risk of Skating?  The purchaser or user of this ticket agrees and understands that outdoor ice skating can be hazardous and participates at their own risk.  Be aware that ice conditions on the lake and in the surrounding area vary due to weather conditions; ice grooming may be in progress at any time.  Always skate in control. DRIVE SMART, sponsors, and volunteers of the event assume no liability.
